Book Summary:

In which 12 y/o Emily Hayes and her brother Navin find a magical amulet in their grandfather’s abandoned house when they move in. The amulet transports them to Alledia in an alternate Earth where they must team up with helper robots like Miskit to rescue their mother who has been kidnapped by one of the creatures in Alledia, learning about the amulet’s purpose in that world as they explore it along the way.
