Book Summary:

In which 11 y/o Barclay yearns to be a part of the society of the respected mushroom farming community so he becomes a mushroom apprentice. Barclay accidentaly bonds with one of the forbidden beasts and is exiled. Now he must go on a quest to figure out how to break their bond. On this perilous journey Barclay discovers he is one of the Lore Keepers who shares magic with the beasts, now he must travel to Sycamore, the town of the Lore Keepers, in order to finally get answers.
