When  María Luisa O’Neill-Morales Malú’s parents get divorced, she and her Mexican-American mom leave her white dad in Florida and move to Chicago where she isn’t seen as latinx enough. Logically, she follows the first rule of punk: Be yourself, in her journey through a new school as Malú builds a punk rock band.
